Xeriscaping and Gardening
I love planting and gardening. When I first moved into the house in Montrose, I immediately began landscaping. The first thing to go was the lawn. Silly, in my opinion, to water a lawn in an arid area. Oh no, I also wanted to test out different xeric plants to see how they would do. Being adventurous in not only gardening, but also the job arena, I later quit the job teaching and rented the house in order to travel to make a film. Years later, I returned. The tenants did not water the plants so only the very, very hardy plants survived.
I also experimented and planted vegetables and flowers together in planters (since I knew that I was moving back into the house in the middle of summer since I really missed eating fresh tomatoes off the vine. I also spent time this past summer visiting my parents and their lovely garden, so those pictures are also included. Happy New Year!
